Fair Play for the Environment
So that future generations can enjoy playing football on our planet, we pay attention to the materials we choose, production conditions, and avoiding packaging and waste.
Here, we show you what that means in practice—from raw materials to the fan shop.
Materials
Responsible materials
We choose materials that reflect our values: organic cotton, recycled polyester, and alternatives such as wood or metal instead of additional plastic. For paper products, we look for materials sourced from FSC- or PEFC-certified forests.
Circularity & packaging
Less waste, more circularity
We avoid packaging wherever possible. When it is necessary, we use materials that are already recycled and/or recyclable. At the same time, we are working on solutions for returns, reuse, and repair.

RE:FIBRE with PUMA
Since September 2024, we have been collecting old clothing with PUMA through Take Back Bins in our stores. Some of the collected materials are made into new fabrics—even our jerseys.
Certifications
Verified responsibility throughout the supply chain
Depending on the product, our items carry certifications such as GOTS, FSC, PEFC, or organic certification.
These labels help ensure transparency and checks throughout the entire supply chain.
Since 2023, together with the Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development, we have been supporting 450 smallholder farmers in India in transitioning to organic cotton farming.
